food for thought: what drives you?

i have this insatiable desire to learn almost anything, and that motivates me to start the day with a clean slate. everyday is good day to learn something new.

it can be about mathematics, economics, languages, or just discovering a better route going to work. it wouldn't matter if it's as profound as understanding the relevance of the superstar phenomenon or as trivial as knowing where to buy the best pair of ballet flats. there will always be something out there waiting for me to be discovered.

sometimes, the most frustrating thing for me is that i have to spend precious hours on resting and sleeping. if living wasn't exhausting, i would probably spend most of my days reading, exploring, and traveling--all for the sake of learning.

the prospect of learning has somehow made everyday life so much easier. facing problems has become real-time training for surmounting overwhelming challenges. dealing with unbearable people has become a valued opportunity wherein social skills can be honed. coping with the daily commute has become a point of reference in becoming a better world traveler.

trying to live a life worth living is not an easy task, and i am lucky to have this passion for learning because it has set a path for me on how i should act and react in my daily grind. i am indeed fortunate to have figured out right now one of the things in my life that will always push me to move forward.

on that note, i hope everybody gets to find out what drives them to wake up everyday and makes them want to grab life by the horns. all of us go through phases of wallowing when times get bad, but to end our lives in constant drudge...that would just be so sad...
