the list

as long as i can remember, i have loved making lists for almost everything. i have my to-do list, my christmas gift list, a book list (which is further divided into a to-read list and a must-buy list), a movie list, a travel list, and so on and so forth.

to prep myself up for the start of a looong series of regular work weeks, i have made the following forget-me-not list for the week ahead:
  • pay xxx sum to xxx credit card
  • buy vitamins
  • claim COE from HR
  • follow up on NSO request
  • have my picture taken for visa application
  • schedule myself for a facial service
what started out as a simple list ended up with me spending more than an hour creating three more lists: a priorities-for-the-year list, a revised book list, and a new personal wish list for 2010.

sometimes, i seriously think that my life would crumble if i were to be deprived of my lists. i can be spontaneous and go through a day without having anything planned at all, but that would have to be noted as an "anything goes" entry in my to-do list for the week. talk about being anal.

oh, i forgot to mention that updating this blog was also part of my to-do list for the day.
